I think a priceless gift that you could make for your Dad is a COUPON Book that he could use toouhghrut the year. It might have coupons for his back scratched, an unconditional hug from his favorite daughter, his favorite meal or cookies baked, help with a task he usually has to do by himself .. try it he will like it. Merry Christmas!

Find some old pictures. Make coepis, don't ruin the originals. Then make a scrapbook. You can include some of your memories and what you were doing. If you have some old Christmas photos those are the greatest. They do have some picture frames that you can fill with photos of you. If your capable of doing it without him knowing about it let the whole family join in and you can all make a big scrapbook. With a computer you can make him a video scrapbook. I hope this helps.

Oh, I forgot to mtenion: you can set the language of your choice in your Google Reader settings. In German, the word they use instead of Like is Bevorzugen which means prefer or favor which at first doesn't sound much better. But here's the interesting (uh to me) part:Bevorzugen is linked, linguistically, to vorziehen. (The ziehen root there gets nounified and the verbified.) Vorziehen means to prefer or to choose as well, but it also carries a more literal meaning of pull/push forward/from behind, etc. Which is what you're doing when you mark a news article with the Like function in Google Reader.
