This picture reminded me of Marilyn Monroe (her famous air under dress pic). I think if she had a guarder belt, it would have been a nice touch. I can see it now when she throws it into the audience and there's slush all over it.

I think it is a great idea! At least you are creating another lasting memory with it. My dress has been sitting in a box for the last 30 years. I've been divorced for 14 years now. My only daughter married last year and had no desire to wear it and now I wonder why I ever saved it. It is out of style now. Since my daughter chose not to wear my dress, I have thought about donating it; however, since viewing this article, I think I will give it to my son and he and a girl who is a friend (not girl friend) may enjoy taking it off-roading and mudding (his friends like to have mud fights). Sounds like it would be so much fun to watch! BTW... my mom, still has her wedding dress sitting in her cedar chest. I believe all of my aunts do too - what a shame... I say go for it!

Hey, I say if you want to trash your dress go for it. You paid for it! I also say if you want to donate it, feel free. My dress was expensive, I'd trash it and get memorable photos before donating it. Shoot I think it would be fun to go paint balling in my dress. Seriously though people are so judgmental about everything. Do what you want to do and mind your own business. Life is to short, enjoy every minute...even if its in a $1000 dress.

Just remember that everyone is entitled to their own opinions! While someone might think it's wasteful or disrespectful, another might think that it's adventurous and memorable. If you are disgusted at girls "trashing" their dress and then having it professionally cleaned, thank god it's not your dress! Live life the way YOU want and don't judge the way others live theirs! Not everyone is vanilla. Some want dirty brown chocolate! On their dress!

This is amazing. No better way to enjoy your wedding dress than to enjoy it on a roller coaster! You go girl

I am a photographer and would LOVE to photograph a trash the dress session. It would be so much fun!! @Rose, Trashing your dress, I believe, was originally meant to symbolize the fact that this is your one and only marriage day. You wont use the dress again, so instead of donating it, recycling it or flat our throwing it in the garbage, you find a creative way to "trash" your dress. It is a fun sentiment, and indeed says a lot for your day.
